Agents are first-class
Every action is available on the REST API, as an MCP tool and on the command line, from the same definition. An agent gets exactly the permissions you grant, never more than its owner.
Agents propose. Humans approve.
Beta Open-source business platform
CRM, sales, invoicing and more on a single data model. Built for people and for AI agents, with the permissions and privacy to trust both.
Every app shares the same contacts, products and permissions, so nothing needs gluing together. Five apps are built in; the other 22 install from the marketplace.
People and agents work in the same records, under the same rules. Nothing is bolted on afterwards.

Every field has a data class. Agents see masked values or nothing at all for personal and financial data, and can write tokens back without ever seeing the real value.
Masking by default
Apps are modules on one registry, so a contact is the same contact in CRM, sales and invoicing. Permissions, audit and the API come with every model you add.
PostgreSQL underneath
Admins add modules in a click from the marketplace, or upload their own package. A module describes its models, fields and workflow in one file, and instantly gets the API, the agent tools, the permissions and the privacy rules like everything else.

obop is written in Rust and runs anywhere PostgreSQL does. Use the hosted service, or run the same program yourself with Docker. Either way each business has its own database, and the data is yours.
We create an instance with its own database for you. Everything is free during the beta.
One binary or one Docker image, SQLite for trying it out, PostgreSQL for real use.
Read the code, the decisions and the roadmap. The licence is being finalised; see the repository.
Self-hosting the open-source edition is free. Hosted plans are per organisation. These are planned prices; nothing is charged during the beta.
€0
Your own hosted instance to try the invoicing basics.
€49/month
The full seven-app loop for a growing team.
€249/month
More capacity, support and service levels.
from €899/month
Dedicated capacity and a named contact.
Planned prices, billed yearly, excluding VAT. Not yet charged.
obop is an open-source business platform. It gives a company CRM, sales, invoicing, contacts and products on one data model, and lets you install more apps from a marketplace. Every action is available to people in the browser and to AI agents over REST, MCP and the command line.
Not yet. obop is in beta. The core works and is tested, but there are no data migrations between module versions yet, nothing backs up the hosted databases, and many bundled apps are deliberately simple. Use it to evaluate and for non-critical work for now. The roadmap page lists what is built and what is not.
Self-hosting is free. Hosted plans are planned at €0, €49, €249 and from €899 a month per organisation, but nothing is charged during the beta and these prices may change.
Each business gets its own database, in PostgreSQL for hosted and production use. If you self-host, it lives wherever you run it. Records are stored as JSON documents until the schema manager exists.
You create a scoped agent token. The agent connects over MCP, REST or the CLI. It can only use the permission groups you gave it, sees personal data masked, and can only propose irreversible steps such as posting an invoice; a person approves them.
Not in clear. Personal data comes back as stable placeholder tokens such as EMAIL_1, and financial, HR and special-category fields are withheld entirely. The agent can pass a token back to refer to a value without ever seeing it.
Yes. An app is one text file (obop.toml) that declares models, fields, data classes, permission groups and workflow actions. Admins can upload it or install it from the marketplace, and it instantly gets the API, agent tools and screens. It cannot run code yet.
The source code is public on GitHub. The final licence is still being decided (the project proposes the AGPL), so check the repository for the current terms.
